The best students outcomes for students occur when parents and schools work collaboratively, but sometimes this process breaks down. Impartial IEP meeting facilitation can sometimes get that collaborative process back on track. MM Facilitations and Consulting can provide that impartial facilitator if both the school and parents agree to use this option. The responsibilities of the facilitator would be to promote collaboration and communication among all IEP team members, ensure a compliant IEP meeting process, and assist the team in reaching consensus.
The impartial facilitator’s role is strictly limited to that of the meeting process. The facilitator provides no input on the content of the IEP, nor is a decision-making member of the IEP team.
